Adwords is a phenomenal way to get laser-targeted traffic to your site quickly, but it does have a steep learning curve…

…And that’s pretty daunting when it’s your own time and money on the line!

So, here’s some important advice from a decade-long veteran of pay per click marketing, and an easy way to boost your profits from your Adwords investment:

A crucial element of Adwords account is how well you have your Adgroups organized.

Don’t fall into the oh-so common trap of only creating a couple of adgroups per campaign and then stuffing them with hundreds (or thousands) of keywords.

Save yourself lots of pain and frustration, don’t do this!

Trouble in that this is like giving Google permission to “gouge” you, and you’ll end up paying way more per click, suffer from lower CTR’s due to poor relevance of your ads, and most likely be nailed with poor quality scores.

AdWords Management - Using E-Mails

by Kirt Christensen

If you utilize e-mail well, you can keep your customers with you 3 times as long. What is the most personal way to contact someone on the internet? Email is the answer. By using email you can sell to your customers over and over again, by forging a trusting relationship and making a business opportunity based on your individual personality.

No discussion about Google AdWords would be complete if we didn’t show you how to turn that expensive one-millisecond click into a long-term relationship. When someone clicks on your ad, Google charges you $.50 regardless of what happens next. If the guy leaves after five seconds, he’s gone, and you’ll probably never get him back without paying again.

You probably know Overture and Wordtracker as well as AdWord Accelerator which a great tool in PPC management for sorting out the real competition among keywords and bid prices and singling out the best-performing ads. But there are others that give you a different emphasis and have features of their own that make them unique and very much worth having. AdWord Analyzer is one (www.AdWordAnalyzer.com). Keywords Analyzer is another (www.KeywordsAnalyzer.com).

When you need a screwdriver and you head to your toolbox chances are that you will have both a Philips and a slotted screwdriver. You have uses for both, so you keep both to use as needed. Improve Usability of Your Website

by Kim and Charles Petty

No matter how brilliant your website design is, if it is hard to reach the content of your site then your site is as useful as an empty shell. Here are some tips to improve the usability of your website to ensure it serves its functions optimally.

The first method is to make sure the typography of your content is suitable. If you have large blocks of text, make sure to use CSS to space out the lines accordingly. The longer a single line of text is, the greater the line-height of each line should be. Also, make sure the font size of your text is big enough to read easily. Some sites have 10-pixel-tall text in Verdana font; while that may look neat and tidy, you have to really strain your eyes to read the actual text.
